Southwest Personal

$400 statement credit and 40,000 miles

This is a key card if you're working toward the Companion Pass. To achieve it, you'll need both a personal and a business card. Chase occasionally changes the offers on these cards, so I recommend starting with whichever card currently has the higher offer.

IHG Business

$99 Annual Fee

140,000 points after spending $4,000 in 3 months

This card also comes with a TSA precheck or global entry credit. You also get a free night certificate (up to a 40k night) each year on your anniversary. This card gives you a lot of bang for your buck!

AMEX Blue Business Plus

NO ANNUAL FEE!!!

15,000 points after spending 3k in 3 months. This card also has no interest the first year!

This card is a MUST HAVE if you have an Amex with an annual fee. More than likely at some point in your points journey you will close some of your Amex cards. If you don't have another Amex card your points have nowhere to go. With this no annual fee card you will always have a way to keep your membership rewards points alive!

AMEX Gold Personal

$325 Annual Fee

Up to 100,000 points. Amex is a little different from most banks and their offers will vary. If you aren't sure if the link I have is the highest just email me or send me a DM on Instagram. If I don't have the highest offer I will refer you to someone who does!

I know the annual fee is high on this one, but because of the high welcome offer, 4x on groceries and dining, and the monthly credits for Grub Hub, Uber, and Dunkin' this card is one of my go to cards!

Chase Freedom

NO ANNUAL FEE!!!!!

This is a great card to pair with your Chase Sapphire. There are bonus categories every quarter that earn 5x points up to $75 cash back (but if you have a Sapphire these can be transferred for 7,500 points instead of cash back). Some of the rotating quarterly categories are groceries, gas, etc. so this can be an easy way to rack up for Chase points!

The rest of the time this card earns 3% back on dining and drugstores, and 1.5% back on everything else.

Chase Business Preferred

$95 Annual Fee

90,000 points after $8k spend in 3 months

You can transfer to travel partners with the Ink Business Preferred! Points bonuses are as follows: 3x travel, shipping, internet, cable, phone and advertising with social media sites (up to $150K spend per year).

Chase Sapphire Preferred

$95 Annual Fee

60,000 points after $4k spend in 3 months

This is the best starter card! You can transfer to travel partners with this card. The card also includes 3x points on dining, select streaming services and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart and wholesale clubs), 2x on travel (or 5x total points if purchased through Chase Travel) and a $50 hotel credit annually. The card also carries no foreign transaction fees and primary rental car coverage.

Capital One Venture X

$395 Annual Fee

75,000 miles after $4k spend in 3 months

This is MY favorite card and I will always keep it!

Premium lounge access, adding authorized users are free so your whole fam gets lounge access, Priority Pass, up to $300 annual travel credit, up to $120 credit towards Global Entry/TSA PreCheck and 10,000 bonus miles annually (starting on your first anniversary). No foreign transaction fees as well!
